Climate Science

The FOSS curriculum helps students understand the natural world, and part of that experience in grades PK-8 is learning about stewardship of the environment. Though our students are young, they already understand that their planet is changing. They explore these changes in FOSS lessons, in terms of cause and effect, systems, and patterns. These students gain scientific literacy that will help them understand the ways they can help mitigate climate change, from very small daily actions, to their future actions as voters and policy influencers.
